Amanda has been working as a Psychologist since 2004 and specializes in the assessment and treatment of a range of issues including:
  • Child abuse and trauma (particularly sexual abuse)
  • Adult sexual assault
  • Harmful sexual behaviours in children and adolescents
  • Anxiety disorders 
  • Parent child conflict
  • Criminal injuries compensation assessment
She has experience in complex child protection related assessments, clinical report writing and works with children, young people and adults.  Amanda uses a strong interpersonal therapeutic style to work with each individual or family using a range of evidence-based treatments tailored to the needs and context of the client. She is trained and experienced in a range of treatment methods including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and Attachment based interventions.
Amanda also provides consult and professional supervision as an AHPRA approved supervisor for Provisional Psychologists and Clinical Psychologist Registrars.
